It was a big night for the music industry on Sunday 19th May, when the Billboard Music Awards took over the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for their annual award show.

Featuring sizzling performances from music’s biggest stars including Jennifer Lopez and Justin Beiber, eye-wateringly expensive jewellery and a wardrobe we can only dream of, the celebs worked their best poses before sitting down to watch the awards.

I suppose you’re vaguely interested in who won what so here’s a quick rundown in less than 30 seconds (go on – time us, dare ya…). Endless legged Taylor Swift walked away with eight awards, whilst the Biebster (did we really just say that) managed to secure three not to mention Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, One Direction and Adele also walking away with a number of awards – see told you we could sum it up in under 30 seconds.

With that aside now comes the more important stuff – the fashion. Lets start with the guys. Now we love a classic laid back look, we’re not ones for going out completely suited and booted which is why we love Ed Sheeran and Chris Browns denim and sweatshirt looks. OK so it’s not exactly red carpet glamour, but if anyone can pull it off it’s these guys. Finished with a pair of this seasons hottest trainers and the looks a gooden.

Any award ceremony brings out a bevy of leggy, flesh showing beauties and hey we’re not complaining. Selena Gomez and Christina Aguilera caught our attention with their choices. Selena opted for a white number with sheer panelling and neon trims – very ‘now’, whilst Christina looked pretty damn hot in her LBD with contrast waist detailing and peep-toe silver stilettos.

With the good always comes the bad and unfortunately Miley Cyrus and Justin Beiber fell victim to the fashion faux pas monster. In their questionable sartorial choices they certainly ensured all eyes were on them, but perhaps not for the right reason. Miley worked the ‘chess board having a fight with my nans net curtains’ trend whilst Beibs worked leather. Literally head to toe leather which, lets face it, it was never going to work and now he has paid the consequences. There’s a reason he is pulling that face you know…

Sir Alex Ferguson was first, then Rio Ferdinand then most recently David Beckham’s decided to announce his retirement.

After an extensive and well documented 20 year career in football the worldwide superstar (yeah I think we would go as far as calling him a superstar) has decided to call it a day.

On the upside it’s given us the chance to look at Beck’s second most successful skill – dressing and boy oh boy does he know style. In conjunction with our Denim Shop launch (have you checked it out yet? It’s awesome…) we’re taking a look at our favourite laid back Becks looks and believe me it was hard to choose just three…

1. Who doesn’t like a checked shirt and chino combo? Perfect for spring/summer, Becks works the classic work with style. Teamed with a white t-shirt for a layering effect he finished the work with minimal accessories – watch, belt and brown leather chukka boots.

2. Working a sporty vibe, Becks teams his grey/blue hoody with a contrasting pink shirt – the ultimate smart/casual look. Finished off with bleach washed jeans and plimsolls – does he ever get it wrong?

3. Finally we have a fab winter Becks look. Teaming a double breasted Pea Coat with a chunk knit scarf, grey denims and desert boots he makes feeling freezing cold look super stylish. Oh and only he could work a man-bag that big!

Kanye West has been dominating the news (and world) lately due to his romance with Kim Kardashian AKA his ‘Baby Mama.’
